HCL-Volvo Aero Offshore Development Center (ODC) performs product development and product support activities for various Aero Engine structural components for commercial aircraft engines, which involves Component design, Complex modeling, Manufacturing drawing creation, Tolerance stack analysis, Fan Blade Out Analysis, Transient thermal analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamic analysis. The ODC also provides support for writing justifications for Non Conformances and Material Review Board (MRB).
ODC requires engineers with BE / BTech / ME / MTech / Ph.Ds in Mechanical engineering / Aeronautical engineering with 6-12 years of experience in Jet engines or Turbo machinery components. Experience in product development with Toll gate system is desirable. The candidates should have strong communication and leadership skills.
CAD
• Strong experience in UNIGRAPHICS
• Experience in Aero Engine Component design / development (Gas Turbines / Turbo Machinery)
• Creation of solid models, surface (shell) models, manufacturing drawings for components and assemblies
• GD&T (as per ASME standards) and Stack up Analysis
• Exposure to MRB activities such as writing justifications and concessions (Desirable)
CAE
• Strong experience in Ansys or Nastran with Hypermesh
• Creating Shell and Solid FE models
• Perform Structural Static and Dynamic analysis (Thermo, Non-linear, Buckling, Rotor Dynamics), FBO analysis and Life calculation (Fatigue) for Aero Engine components
• Exposure to MRB activities such as writing justifications and concessions (Desirable)
