Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust desires to appoint following categories of Officers

Medical Specialist (General Surgeon):
No. of Post: 01 (One) - Reserved for Other Backward Class (OBS)

Qualification & Experience: Essential:

1. Post Graduate qualification in Master of Surgery from a University or Institution recognized by Govt. of India
2. 3 year's experience of large Hospital in General surgery after post graduation.
3. Knowledge of Hindi. Desirable: knowledge of Marathi

Age: 35 years as 01 1st December 2008.

Pay Scale: Rs. 10750-300-16750 (plus other allowance as applicable).

Accounts Officer:
No. of Posts: 02 (Two) One Reserved for Other Backward Class (OBC) with Disability - (PWD-coming under more than 40% Orthographically Handicapped category) and One Reserved for Schedule Caste (SC) with disability (PWD-coming under more than 40$ Low vision/ Hearing impairment category).

Qualification & Experience: Essential:

1. A person having qualification of Chartered Accountant or ICWA or qualified SAS/SOG exam conducted by C & AG of India or similar exam, conducted by Controller General of Civil Accounts or Controller General of Deviance Accounts or P & T or Railway Board.
2. 2 year's executive experience in maintenance of commercial accounts.

Note: A Candidate without having 2 year's experience can be taken as Officer Trainee for a period of two years.

Desirable:

1. Exposure in computerized financial accounting systems.
2. Working knowledge of Hindi.

Age: 30 yeas as on 1st December 2008.

Pay scale: 9100-250-15100 (plus other allowance as applicable)

General Conditions: Age limit is relaxable for SC's by 5 Years and for OBCs by 3 years and additional 5 years for Persons with Disabilities. Age limit and Qualification are further relaxable at the discretion of Chairman, JNPT in case of deserving candidates. Selected candidate will be eligible for residential accommodation in JNPT Township, Leave, Medical facility etc. they will be governed by the new pension scheme. Persons working in Govt. or Govt. controlled organization should being "No Objection Certificate" .JNP-PAP Candidates will be given preference.
