Job Description
Unskilled Positions on Board Cruise Ships
Cabin Steward/Stewardess. Daily cleaning of passenger cabins. No experience required.
Salary: $1,800 - $2,200 US per month with possible percentage of tips.
Assistant Cabin Steward/Stewardess. Daily cleaning of assigned areas and passenger cabins, passenger laundry requests. Entry level position. No experience required.
Salary: $1,200 - $1,500 US per month
Laundry Person/Linen Keeper. Support staff for laundry facilities, laundry and cleaning of all passengers, officer, management and staff garments. No experience required. Entry-level position.
Salary: $1,200 - $1,600 US per month
Pool Attendant. . Cleaning and maintenance of all pool areas. No experience required. An entry level position.
Salary: $700 - $1,000 US per month
Galley Cleaner/ Dishwasher/Pot Washer (cleaning and maintenance and stacking of all galley stations and passengers' dishes, pots etc. - No experience required.
Salary: $600 $800 US per month.
Bar Boy/Bar Utility. Responsible for the cleanliness of lounges and re-stocking bar supplies. No experience required. Entry level position.
Salary: $1,000 - $1,500 US per month depending on percentage of tips. Possibilities for promotion to Bar Steward.
Buffet Steward/Stewardess. Serving meals, drinks, cleaning tables. No experience required
Salary: $1,000$1,500 US per month, depending on gratuities from the passengers. Strong possibilities for promotion to Bar Steward, Junior Waiter, Assistant Waiter and Waiter.
THE ABOVE SALARIES ARE AVERAGE SALARIES AND WILL VARY WITH FLUCTUATION OF THE DOLLAR. IN ADDITION YOUR FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION IS INCLUDED AND YOUR SALARY IS NORMALLY TAX FREE IF YOUR CONTRACT IS FOR SIX MONTHS AND OVER. THESE CONTRACTS ARE RENEWABLE.
