Job Description
24/7 Technical Support
Managing the communication and resolution of technical issues for a distinct set of clients via phone and email
• Troubleshooting complex issues related to a Blackboard Consulting implemented customization.
• Providing excellent client management inclusive of excellent communications, responsive follow through, and code documentation.
• Update ticket with problem description and other related attributes
• Ensure customer notification
• Try to resolve using standardized process and procedures
• Re-assign ticket if not resolved within stipulated period
• Update and close ticket on incident closure
• Update knowledge base
• Availability to have a flexible working schedule.
• Ability to customize code using Java/J2EE
• Handling bug fixing and developing building blocks

Desired Candidate Profile
Primary: Sound knowledge in Java/J2EE applications Good analytical and logical skills. Excellent communication Skills
Secondary: Knowledge in windows/Linux (Redhat), Scripting, knowledge on networking and understanding of datacenter architecture.

• Must have knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Must have good understanding of internetworking web applications and hosting environment
• Must have a knowledge of networking concepts and terms
• Ideally have sound knowledge of Java /J2EE application
• Good hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development
• Hands-on SQL/Oracle Database
• Sound knowledge on RDBMS concepts
• Excellent communication is a must
